IE script errors

I recently started getting IE script error messages from virtually every website I visit.  This started after I reinstalled NIS 2012 via the Norton website.  I had to reinstall because my NIS2012 became inoperative after I disabled the tamper protection in order to run a restore point.  When I restarted I got a message that my computer/NIS 2012 had been compromised by "something" and NIS 2012 would not initiate.  I uninstalled and reinstalled NIS 2012.  I have tried ALL of the recommended fixes and nothing has solved the problem.  I may try another uninstall and reinstall from my disc.  I did not have any issues when I did that 4 months ago.

I am not sure if this is connected but my Google toolbar also disappeared.  I have tried all the recommended fixes for that issue--except an uninstall/reinstall--and nothing has worked. I checked and the program is still there but the toolbar will not appear--just a blank bar.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply.  I think I did all of that when I downloaded NIS from the website following my problem.  HOWEVER, the real point is that suddenly on one start up a few days ago the IE Script Error messages stopped and the Google Toolbar miraculously reappeared.  I have no idea what happened!
