IE9 Beta and Norton Safe Web and Identity Safe

Does it work? I don't want to install the IE9 Beta if I won't be able to get SafeWeb or the Identity Safe toolbar/functionality working. Thanks!

We haven’t done any formal testing but basic functionally such as Toolbar, Safe Web, Safe Surfing and Identity Safe seems to be working just fine.

However let us know if you encounter any issues. Just remember that its not officially supported yet.

Hello txreinbergs

Since it is IE9 beta, it should only be installed in a test computer and not on your main computer. That goes for any beta program actually. Beta programs are for testing purposes. Hope this answers your question. Thanks.

Safe Web works, I see the green icons :)

Safe Web doesn't work here as it should be .

Fisrt upon IE9 start-up it shows that SafeWeb slows down my browser:

Then , I don't see the green/yellow/red mark when I browse a web site . I can only see in the search engine results such as Google search..

I use Windows 7 x86 , Norton AV 2011 (18.1.0.37) and Safe Web Lite current version

I am sorry . I found that the functionality has been disabled by default but can be restores easily (as well as my favourite favourite bar :) )

And on subsiquent starts/loads , IE9 no longer reports SafeWeb add-on for being slows . Actually not it loads for 0.16 seconds

So far as good
