Iexplore.exe.5468.dmp (Norton 360/Windows Vista)

Dear Norton,

It would be appreciated if a Norton representative could assist me directly with this inquiry:

I am currently undertaking an investigation into inappropriate user internet activity (details of which are confidential). During our analysis we located relevant hyperlink/url embedded in a file named :  iexplore.exe.5468.dmp

Located at: \ProgramData\Norton\{0C55C096-0F1D-4F28-AAA2-85EF591126E7}\LocalDumps

In relation to this file and activity, can you kindly answer the following questions:

(Q1) Under what circumstances is a .dmp file created?

(Q2) Why is the above hyperlink located in this file?

(Q3) Does Norton capture the URL of the web pages that are open in iExplorer at the time of a crash?

(Q4) Is it possible to extract the metadata information from this hyperlink? If so, by what software tool?

(Q5) Is there a tool available to interpret/analyse these .dmp files?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards.
