Hello @Gary_Fundakowski Schedule your backups when you are not using the device, and, its idle. If doing so to a local HD or other device Norton will require your intervention to do so, it will NOT run a backup automatically in that scenario. If the backups are to the cloud schedule it to run in the same manner. When you are not active on the machine. That should solve the issue for you.
Your Norton product does not back up your files automatically if the backup destination is a local backup. Backing up to local storage devices needs your intervention.
