Import NPM 2004 passwords to Norton Security Suite Version: 4.0.0.127

Hello all: I just transitioned over from XP to Windows 7.  I used NPM 2004 prior to transition, and did back-up my NPM passwords.

Can someone please provide me step-by-step instructions on how to import NPM 2004 passwords to Norton Security Suite Version: 4.0.0.127 so I can use my over 450 passwords?

So curious...

Thank you,

Hi khrawal

Welcome to the Norton Community Forums

I do not believe you can do this directly from Norton Password Manager to Norton Security Suite. However, the instructions in this post by Vineeth may help you to do so in an indirect way even though it is for NIS2009

Many thanks for your prompt response.

Am I to infer that NIS 2009 is the same as Norton Security Suite Version: 4.0.0.127?

They both have ID Safe and both use .npm files to backup and restore but they are different products.

I have not used the process documented by Vineeth and I do not know of anyone who has done so.

Hi khrawal

Vineeth confirms that the process should work for Norton Security Suite so where it mentions NIS2009 you should read Norton Security Suite.
