Inconsistent! Unreliable! Poorly implemented! Need better communication and an OFF switch!

As a new subscriber, I cannot believe how intermittent and unreliable this service is!

 

It is inexcusable that a web site promising control and flexibility has unilaterally locked every single customer into settings that existed on a random day at a random moment. The least -- very least -- that could have happened is some sort of notice telling us that at x time on x date, our settings would be frozen indefinitely. That way, we could have unlocked machines for the holiday weekend.

 

What bothers me even is that with all the "server down time" Norton has not created an appropriate LAST-RESORT solution for customers. We really need a "turn it off" option that is resident on EVERY machine, in case we need to disable the restrictions while the service is down (sometimes the kids need more time or web flexibility to do homework???). I would not even mind if it required a separate password or code.

 

We need an email when these interruptions START, while they are happening, and when they will END. I've never received even one notice that service is (or will be) down. Frustrating.
