Just got a new camera and worried about privacy. Is Insta360 app safe to use. In order to use the camera, you need to install and use an app on your phone. The app requires a lot of permissions. One thing they state is that they will collect URLs. Can they get to my passwords on the phone and use them in the URLs for my bank accounts
First off this app is presented by a Chinese startup, which in itself is a huge red flag. It collects logs of everything you do and requires too many permissions to be granted otherwise it will not function. It also has “unpatched” flaws the creator company has not taken seriously. I would NOT use the app for any reason. Please read the following article.
