This solution is not helpful - I should be able to put my Norton subscription on multiple computers. I have a PC for home use as well as a laptop for convenience. It would be cheaper for me to be able to use the same subscription for both computers. I use Adobe products daily and am able to place these on multiple machines. With each product that you buy from Adobe, you are given a certain number of licenses, which allow you to place the software on multiple computers. This is just one example of how Adobe understands the needs of it's users. I would hope that one day Norton/Symantec would come to this realization as well.

Buying subscriptions for multiple computers
If you have more than one computer on which a Norton program is installed, you must purchase an individual subscription for each computer that you want to protect.
Subscription licensing does not permit the sharing of subscriptions between computers.

I don't quite know where you are coming from on this but my copy of Nortin Internet Security for some years now and my copy of Norton 360 are each "3 user " versions and each can be installed on up to 3 different computers.
What version of what Norton product are you talking about? Did you buy a single user or a 3 user version?
I have no experience of renewing subscriptions since I always buy a new copy when they are on sale at anything from $0 for a 3 user copy up to $30 for a 3 user copy when upgrading from an earlier version . One has to keep one's eye open.
I hope that helps -- Norton has been doing multiple user versions for some time now (and if you go to their website you will even find 5 user and 10 user versions of some of their products.
