Issue: Norton processes loading at Windows startup ( cold boot not a restart )
Detailed description: Having just updated my HP laptop to Norton build 26.6.11052.988 I see there is one instance of NortonUI at system launch. The UI DOES NOT automatically open IMA. There are others reporting that the UI IS INDEED OPENING at boot in other threads. Stealing focus and also opening at random times. Wondering is this is related to their issue? I have not seen this before the latest update to 26.6.11052.988. Asking the community for feedback regarding what they are seeing. I am aware of the other threads so we don’t need to link them here. TIA.

What is the error message you are seeing? NO ERROR

Not much help here. I have the same 360 version 26.6.11052.988 but see no entry for NortonUi in my Task Manager.
I’m in Canada, if that matters.
Thanks Peter.Selvakumar.S picked Up on the post here and is involved. The issue I have duplicates itself at boot so they should be able to figure out what is happening. I have a feeling what I see may be similar to what others are seeing with the latest versions as well. Maybe we can get some answers.

Another interesting tid-bit!! Just manually ran Live Update, nothing was offered. So it appears that build 986 resides on my Windows 10 Pro daily use machine while build 988 resides on my Windows 11 Pro laptop. Windows 10 doesn’t show the UI process resident at boot time as does Windows 11 Pro. Same subscription on both machines. Interesting indeed since you have also validated build 988 on your machine as well.
Edited: I have to wonder whether Norton is looking for a specific GPU requirement because the modern_host.exe file also doesn’t exist on Windows 10 Pro. Others have reported it DOES exist on Windows 11 with N360.
