I had activated Intel Anti theft before by Norton Anti theft when I had Windows 8. It seems after upgrading to windows 8.1 I have some issues. Every couple of weeks my laptop locks with intel anti theft black screen automatically and asks me to enter user password or server token password. Also when I log into my Norton Anti theft I cannot see "Intel Anti theft activated logo or text" . Also there is no setting now in the account for intel anti theft. Apparently now norton anti theft does not find or connect to intel anti theft and because that it cannot renew the intel timer. It is very annoying because sometimes it locks me and shutdown computer during my work suddenly . I called the Norton support 2 times and the support was terrible. I was holding for over 3 hours and the operators did not know anything about intel Anti theft.

After 3 weeks , Norton support team was not helpful at all. The technicians are not qualified and even they did not know about Intel anti theft. The average pickup phone was more than 30 minutes and in some cases 1 hour ! (they transfer calls between people. However they could easily add a number to divert the call to anti theft department). One of the worst experiences ever I had and definitely I am considering moving to another vendor !
Anyway after lots of research I found the problem myself. The problem was "Intel Management Engine Interface" , I downloaded from my laptop manufacturer and now it seems fine.
