How to explain this,
I have had Malware detected as one thing then in fact it should be detected as something else, which for one will or would get confusing when someone explains for instance that have Vundo, when they actually have a Rootkit, or they have Vundo, when they actually have a MisleadApp. (Rogue).
I have had this today
Rogue.PersonalGuardxxxx (xxxx = year)
The Installer just awhile ago detected correctly as "PersonalGuard2008"
But the other entries that are detected including the main executable are detected as Vundo, when they are not Vundo
(Some files are not detected)
Tidserv UAC variant actually being detected as "Trojan.Horse", when should be detected as Tidserv.
Installer and main executable for MisleadApp (Rogue).SecurityTool Detected instead as "Trojan.Horse" one of the installers is Not detected yet.
Vundo.Gen2 for a couple of the thread have actually been for TDSS Gen3 (TDL3) or shall we say TidservGen3.
This is going to get Confusing when the name given for what is being detected, does not match what is the Malware.
Can certain detections be reclassified??
