Interface Stuff; Auto-Protect Exclusions Don't "Take"

Somehow, I made the "mistake" of having auto-version upgrade activated on NIS, so now I've got v22.5, for better or worse.  Fortunately, unlike a lot of folks, it seems that it honored all my preexisting settings, and didn't start a Full Scan right out of the gate or other such nonsense; even kept LiveUpdate disabled, just the way I like it, as I can check a couple times a week for updates!  (It even seems like it consumes a little less memory and CPU on my 4 Gig 3.06MHz Core Duo 2 Dell M4400 Precision Laptop rockin' Win 7 64-Bit Pro!)  The interface is..CONFUSING, yes!!  (Mainly figuring out where you folks threw all the Settings--I suspect your programmers threw them into the air, and where they landed on screen mock-ups, that's where they went!    Mostly, where the "Task Scheduling" states that it "[c]ustomizes your Automatic Scans," yet there's no Virus Scan Settings present; they're on the A/V tab!)

Anyhow, now to my main point: this morning, something in NIS was scanning my Downloads folder, and found a couple of Nirsoft programs which reveal forgotten IE passwords under the PasswordRevealer Threat Category; when I responded to the security alert, and attempted to Exclude them, the first attempt failed, then clicking the button again appeared to resolve the issue.  But two minutes later, the fly-in appeared again, identifying the same program as a threat, so I went through the same drill (and had NIS "Fix" one of the programs by placing it in Quarantine).  The only way I could stop this from repeating was to disable the Auto-Protect, then manually enter the programs I wished to Exclude from both Automatic actions and Manual scans, then re-enable all protection.

All I'm saying here is this is a minor bug which needs to be fixed once the major problems of this release have been resolved to the satisfaction of the Norton user base on later versions (8.1 and 10) of the Windows O/S.
