I have a newer Dell laptop with Windows7 Pro and only a few programs, office 2007 pro & Adobe & Symantec VPN client, etc. I installed Norton AntiVirus 2011 and after the install in couldn't authorize it because it couldn' t reach the Norton Server. i then realized that I couldn't get out to the internet. under network settings it says I'm connected to the internet but IE won't find any webpages. No error, it just looks and looks forever. I can ping out to yahoo.com for instance and get a reply so I know my settings are correct also it worked fine right before the install. I uninstalled NAV and the internet worked again. I tried to reinstall just in case something messed up and it stopped working again.
it's pretty vanilla so I'm not sure what's going on.
Any ideas???
