Well, after days of searching, I finally just decided to take a free online virus scan from Kaspersky which doesn't delete the viruses (just scans) and I had a few trojans, but couldn't complete the search since FireFox closed for some reason. But then I downloaded AVG free which removed over fourty some trojans, and it was sort of fixed for a while, but I continued doing research and someone else had the same problem and discovered it was a virus called, "Vundo," which disables some URL's. And I also had to go through this process of removing Vundo because I guess its only detectable on a few (if any) virus/malware scanners. If you want to view this process, the link is at the bottom of this post.
Xeena, can you download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, update the definitions and then run a full system scan with it. This should clear up any left over remnants of these infections.
Let us know how this goes, thanks.
In addition to the recommendation by other contributors you may wish to check your copies of “host” and google same to understand how this can also limited access to certain url’s.

Hi Xeena,
Please let me know if this works. Otherwise we will work on antother solution. This really is a nasty one
Oh wow, Malwarebytes’ detected two infected objects right away, but I think I’m still going to run CCleaner, Malwarebytes’, Sybot, and AVG is safe mode. Thanks so much for posting that. It did work. And sorry I didn’t reply back earlier, I was out of town.
Just a quick question. Starting yesterday, for some reason, FF/IE won't load some websites, or even begin to load them. The page will sit there for a very long time, just.. well... doing nothing. It's really annoying because lots of sites won't load, but thankfully YouTube will which has been entertaining. One main concern for me is that this only happens on my computer user. So, I literally created another user just for web browsing, but that gets annoying, and there is nothing wrong with my internet connection itself, my firewall allows FireFox, and I have been using FireFox for over 5 years and have never had this problem, so maybe I could have downloaded a virus or something? But, if it were a virus, why not infect my whole computer? And Norton hasn't detected anything. On my main user I can't even go to this site, and I think it might be a newer virus that's doing this because on YouTube, I was looking at this one video that had an advertisement above the, "Subscribe" button, and it didn't load so I right-clicked it and pressed reload which then made porn come up as the ad. Other strange things have been happening too like for instance, on IE, just about every time I try going to my email, my email won't load, but another pop-up will come up saying that my computer has been infected and I need to download this software (which I never to haha). Help would be very much appreciated since I've run Norton 360 about 5 times and nothing has happened, but this morning, there was a small time frame when I COULD go to sites I couldn't go to earlier, but after that, I still did a system restore, and then another virus scan. Woke up in the morning (this morning)-same problem.
Thanks
~Xeena
HI Xeena,
That seems odd - is it for specific sites? Could you give us the URLs? Does it always happen for these sites, or intermittently? Also, please let is know which version of Norton 360 you are using, as well as the Operating System and versions of Firefox and Internet Explorer. Thanks!
