How do I find out if this add-on is installed on my pc?
I received this message:
Warning: If you currently have the Add-on Pack installed, you need to save your settings before installing Norton Internet Security 2008. If you do not save your settings first, they will be lost.
I don't want to install anything yet without knowing for sure.
Thank you.
Thanks!
You're welcome! Hope all goes smoothly.
I was impressed how well that Look for information tool in Help & Support worked to identify and link to the information documents on the Norton Support website -- much easier than going to the website and searching there.
If it is installed you should have a third Tab to the right of Norton Internet Security which says Norton Add-on Pack <s>
I'm glad you got that message since if on the version you have been using you have built up a "library" of approved and unapproved addresses you lose those but the tool referred to will allow them to be migrated to the newer version.
If you do not have the link to get that backup file, click on Help & Support and when the screen completes down in the bottom left corner you click on a link to ask questions. Type into the box the words: migrate settings AOP and it will take you to a page of links. Choose the second one (on my list)
Export your Norton Add-on Pack Settings ... Add On Pack 2.1
which will take you to instructions you can print out and enables you to download the tool you need to run.
Hope that is clear -- ask if it is not.
