Internet Security Prevents Me From Using the Internet

As I was surfing the internet a few nights ago, I realized that all or my google search results would lead me two phony add sites. After a while, I just decided to use iTunes, however, this crashed as soon as I opened it. I decided I probably had I virus, however, since I had been too lazy to renew my subscription, I needed to do so.

I quickly navigated to the norton website (I had to actually type in the address...), and purchased Internet Security '10. After downloading and installing it, it went into activation, however, it crashed (I have MS visual basic, and it said ccServHost.exe or something crashed...). After repeatedly clicking on internet security, I soon realized that it simply wouldn't open. I proceeded to the internet, but realized I couldn't use it, even though it said I was connected.

I restarted my computer and ran a full system scan with norton, and it said I had 15 trojans, which I removed. Assuming I had rid myself of the problems, I restarted and proceeded to the internet, which again would not work.

I have tried using other programs like avira, or a tcp stack clearer, but neither got rid of the problem. Of course, since I am downloading them onto my laptop and then using a usb key to transfer them, I have no way of updating them.

What's most frustrating is that after uninstalling Internet Security, I can access the internet (I still get redirected from google). I re-downloaded Internet Security, and even used the norton removal tool, but they also didn't work (I, of course, can't run live update).

I am really frustrated, and I could really use some help.

Thanks in advance!

After running malwarebyte's removal, everything was cleared up, and I was finally able to get NIS working. Here is the log:

Hi Anthony

You still have an infected file in your system restore, so you are not completely cleaned up yet.

This is the log from before I deleted the malware, so its gone right?

Hi anthonyBu,

System Volume Information contains your System Restore points.

If you have not already done so, delete your System Restore points, run another scan and let us know the results.

I deleted the restore points, and noting was found by malware byte's!

Thanks agan for your help!
