no way, it lets you sync bookmarks and export data on PC, so why not in the ios app?

Totally different programming code between Windows and mobile devices. Mobile devices and have much less storage capacity than a Windows system and they often cannot have all the same features as the Windows version.

I’ll have this thread moved to Product Suggestions.

very well

yeah but it doesnt work on iOS though is what i’m saying. i just noticed yesterday after an update that my safari bookmarks which were synced with norton private browser (NPB) were more or less removed from safari. then i noticed the new Norton private browser app for iOS so i said “well it will probably let me sign in with my norton account” but i checked and no such luck. you cant set your “profile” for who is browsing, either. no way to sync NPB data from PC to iOS. i suggest this feature be added.

AI Mode
Norton Private Browser does not currently support syncing data (like bookmarks and history) with its mobile versions because the functionality has not been developed by Norton.

While the desktop versions for Windows and Mac do support synchronization with each other, this feature has not been extended to the Android and iOS apps. Users in the Norton Community have noted this absence, highlighting it as a missing feature compared to other standard browsers that offer cloud syncing across all platforms.

Therefore, any bookmarks or browsing history generated on the mobile app remain separate from the data on your desktop browser, and vice versa.

-------------------------------------------

There is no cross-device syncing with Norton Private Browser, as this feature was not included by design, a fact acknowledged by users on the Norton community forums. While there is a sync feature within the desktop version for different desktop instances of Norton Private Browser, it does not extend to mobile devices, meaning bookmarks and other browsing data are not synchronized between your computer and phone.

  • Missing feature: The ability to sync data between the desktop and mobile versions of Norton Private Browser is a missing feature, and not a technical issue or a setting that is currently disabled.
  • Sync within desktop: There is a sync feature in the desktop version of Norton Private Browser, but it only syncs data between different desktop versions of the browser and not between desktop and mobile versions.
  • User request: Users have requested this feature, indicating it is a desired functionality that is not yet available.

-----------------------------------

Norton has not provided a specific release date or timeline for when Norton Private Browser mobile sync might become available.

The current sync functionality is limited to the desktop versions (Windows and Mac). While users have expressed a strong desire for mobile sync on the Norton Community forums, highlighting it as a standard feature needed to compete with other browsers, the feature remains listed as a user request rather than an announced future update.

Norton has not made any official announcements regarding the development or a potential launch date for cross-platform sync between desktop and mobile devices. Any future release of this feature will likely be announced through official Norton channels or product updates in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

perhaps it is something we can look forward to in the future? or an option to waive the secure by design sync feature?
