IP address disappears every few minutes

Hi All,

Wondering if someone can help. Wife thinks we were cyber attacked last night. Norton found and removed 53 threats, but we notice that now we constantly see this activity every few minutes.

At the same time we see a bunch of these:

Category: Firewall - Activities Date & Time,Risk,Activity,Status,Recommended Action,Category 7/7/2012 12:30 PM,Info,"Rule \"Default Block UPnP Discovery\" stealthed (192.168.0.101, Port ssdp(1900) ). Inbound UDP packet. ",Detected,No Action Required,Firewall - Activities

It then goes through protecting all the "newly found networks" with the same time stamp.

Should I be concerned?

Hi SendOfJive,

Thanks for the feedback!

And yes the main threat Norton removed last night was:

Category: Resolved Security Risks Date & Time,Risk,Activity,Status,Recommended Action 7/6/2012 10:32 PM,Low,Tracking Cookies detected by Virus scanner,Removed,Resolved - No Action Required

We just get a little freaked out, as we have had malware issues in the past when the wife is online. And she really freaked out when she seen "microsoft teredo tunneling adapter" was making a network connection. All she could think of was someone tunneling into our computer.

Thanks again

Hi SBbuilder,

The Teredo Tunneling Adapter is necessary as the internet makes the transition from IPv4 to IPv6.  So if that was your concern, you certainly don't need to worry - the Teredo Tunnel Pseudo-interface is a legitimate thing to have on your system.

This is happening to me.  But the Internet disconnects and doesn't stay connected or reconnects.  This was after an update from norton.  Ip disappears and I don't even see my wireless connection. Help.
