Norton 360 VPN is dropping frequently again for no reason. This was a major issue in late 2025, but is now happening again. This is a huge problem from a security standpoint and I am prepared to drop this service entirely as a result
What iOS version are you on? There was a recent iOS update to ver 26.2.1. If you have not yet updated, please do so and test again. If you have already updated, did the problem start again after that iOS update?
I saw that an IOS update was available and upgraded earlier to rule that out, have the latest. 26.2.1. Issue still persists, with occasional VPN drops and no notification that it stopped working
As you say it is an intermittent problem I suggest you gather and send logs to Norton to help identify what is happening on your device. Use the information in this Norton Support article.
When sending the report where it asks for a Support Case ID, enter “your forum username on Norton forums”. And in the description section, include a link to this forum thread.
If you do send logs, please post back here and I’ll let my contacts know to look for them.
Hi Peterweb (guru), I am having a similar issue. i have updated both my android os and updated the app via the play store. The problem persists. I am now within 100 days of my subscription ending and am seriously considering switching to another service since norton has become unreliable in providing me the service I am paying for. I have scrolled through the forums for a solution and up to this point have not been able to resolve. I have even gone as far as wiping my device to correct any OS issues.
Are you using the VPN feature of 360 or the standalone Norton VPN app? Look for any battery optimizations for your Norton product(s) in Android settings, and turn them off and test.
