I have a Windows 10 PC with NIS version 22.8.1.14
Normally I don't check things like Norton History, scan results etc. But today I just happened to have check the categories unresolved, resolved issues and quarantines from scans.
There are no unresolved issues and resolved are mostly tracking cookies -Whew!!
But I notice that there was an item quarantined called autokms.exe that was removed and placed in quarantine. The threat was considered "low".
I have searched around on the internet and see that most places call it a Trojan. Others say its when one tries to use an unauthorized version of Microsoft office. As far as I know the version of office we have came with the laptop when purchased new. I also see ( I think) that its part of Microsoft???
so I'm not sure if its a dangerous item? If it is why would it be considered a low risk?
anyone able to educate me further on this?
