Is it right, that Norton ended its support for Windows 10, or will do soon? Which alternative?

Hi,
Windows 10 will not have updates since 2025-Oct-14.

I believe to know that Norton ends its updates for Windows 10 (since now), is it right ?

My problem is that I bought that last Intel MacBook Pro (of 2019), and I have a BootCamp Windows 10 partition which I cannot update to Windows 11, (I don’t want VMware Fusion or Parallels for now), and it is probable that I have softwares compatible only with Windows 10, so if I can prevent myself from buying again for Windows 11, I prefer.

So I need a protection more than ever for Windows 10.

If Norton does not update its security for Windows 10, which anti-virus can I chose ?

All: The current Windows lifecycle can be reviewed here at Microsoft:

That end of life date may have been a part of the original confusion.

Norton supported windows XP for 10 years after Microsoft stopped with the updates until 2024. I have seen no notifications they will immediately drop windows 10.

Emailing Norton may be a better way of confirming this issue. I would hope they support windows 10 for another year or two until windows 12 appears. I plan on skipping windows 11.

@Oppenheimer @Dennis_Schroeter To date there hasn’t been anything official posted or discussed where Norton / GenDigital are ending support for Windows 10 just because Microsoft is making it end of life. On the part of Oppenheimer, your issues will more tied to whether MacOS continues to support the bootcamp setup you now have. Apple will make likely changes to their side that will affect the host OS, being MacOS. Please keep a sharp eye on the Announcements area of the forums for anything that may appear there going forward.
