Is Malwarebytes Premium compatible Norton Security?

I've used the free version of Malwarebytes for years. When updating recently I mistakenly ended up with the premium (paid) real-time 15 day trial version which I'm running alongside Norton.

I've read a good review or two of the product and I'm thinking of paying for the product and running both full-time.

Is there any 'significant' reason from the Norton side to not do this?

Mark

Hello

You can easily turn off the paid version if you want to. Go to Settings in Malwarebytes>Account and turn off the Trial. Also go to Settings>and look for a setting that says to start with Window and turn that off.

After doing those 2 things, you will be back to the free version. Remember to run the Updates  symbol before running the program. I'm running the Free version of Malwarebytes 3.0.6.

Thanks.

Yes, I run both with no problems, they compliment each other very nicely.  Just make sure you have the system resources to use both.  run the free premium of MB and if it works for you, then you can choose to buy it.  They are completely different animals.  One is a antivirus the other antimalware, though, Malwarebytes is trying to become a all in one suite, so far, I have seen no problems running it with Norton Security.

I hope that helps.

Peace,

Mike

I have run MB 2 for years with Norton.

On my test system I am running MB 3 and Norton and have seen one new problem with the latest MB 3. There is a conflict with MB 3.0.6.1.1469 CP 1.0.96 Exploit Protection for Firefox and Chrome and the Norton Exploit Prevention option in the firewall.

Other wise it is running just fine.

Jim cool

Depends on who you ask, people who have tried it or people making assumptions.

Personally I have used the premium version with realtime scanning on several systems for several years alongside Norton and never had a single problem.  I also never had to change any settings or make any exclusions for either product.
