I received a popup supposedly from Norton. Said that a problem with my "drivers"(?) had prevented an update of Norton software and I should click the install button to correct it. Seemed very suspicious, so I shut down my computer. After restarting I tried explaining the problem with Norton chat, but the chat person didn't understand my question and gave me no options that addressed my concern, which asked whether the popup was really from Norton or was it a fishing attempt from a scammer. Am asking community for help and about any similar experiences.
Perhaps you received Norton popup:
Error: "Error updating product" or "Error Applying patch"
You may receive this error when Norton cannot shut down all the drivers in use to apply the patch. To resolve this problem, restart the computer and run LiveUpdate again.
