Is NIS Blocking access to my webcam?

I have a D-Link web camera (DCS-930L).  If I use the Dlink web site to access my camera from outside my network it's restricted to 30 seconds.  According to D-Link support, it's because uPnP is being blocked (my router supports it, and it is active).  Is there a setting in NIS I can change to allow this?

Thanks for any help.

Hello manticore999,

Does the camera require your computer (the one that you have NIS installed on) to be accessed externally, or is it connected to your router directly? If the camera can function without the computer, try turning the computer off and seeing if the issue is solved. If not, then it is probably a setting in the router or camera.

Wow - great suggestion!  I'm hitting myself in the head for not thinking of it myself!  I'll shut down and see what happens.

Thanks!

OK, camera is accessible with the computer shut down, as expected, so it's definitely not an issue with NIS.

Thanks again for your help!
