I've only recently installed Norton Internet Security for Mac. I'm regularly getting a blocked message, in the form of:
/private/tmp/symtmp.NbAPU5/action.sh
where the NbAPU5 part of the string is always a different set of characters.
This is listed in history as an outgoing communication.
Looking this up in other unanswered or off-topic threads, there's speciulation that this is SYMtmp for Symantec.
Two questions:
- Is there something wrong with the install that this keeps blocking outgoing communication
- Can these be made to go away? Because the "NbAPU5" ish part of the string always changes it seems this can never be permanently added to be ignored.
Thanks,
