Hello Steve,
try to remove all Norton icons from your desktop then empty your paper-bin then do a disc-cleanup on temporary and temporary internet files
Click on the start menu -> all programs -> accessories -> system tools -> disc cleanup.
if the program asks you should choose to clean your files and your hard drive (usually C) When the disc clean up is done try to download the files again
No change.
If you do not have any other Norton programs on your hard drive -- inlcuding Ghost and others -- then sounds like time to run the Symantec Norton Removal Tool.
Click on This link to read about it and download it
For N360 note what it says:
If you have more than one Norton product, be sure to get the product key, CD or installation file for each product that you want to reinstall before running the Norton Removal Tool.
- If you have installed Norton Add-on Pack, run the Add-on Pack migration tool to backup your Norton AntiSpam and Parental Controls settings. Read, Exporting your Norton Add-on Pack settings while upgrading to Norton Add-on Pack 2.1.
I forget to save my Add-on pack settings when I upgraded my Norton Internet Security and the Spam blocker is having to learn it all over again.
Nope, problem’s still there, even with 360 completely removed.
try to download the Trial then activate it with your product key.
Bummer -- not something I can help with but watch for a Norton Staffer to come in -- might not be during the weekend -- if the suggestion to download the trial does not work.
Good luck -- these things are so infuriating.
Thanks guys, looks like the trial upgrade worked.
Good news – you know where to come for help or to give it.
I’m glad your problem was resolved. Thank you for updating the status of this issue.
