It is time for Symantec to get its act together

Ok, so I have been a norton user from the beginning; that's right I used it with Windows 3.1! I have never wavered in my expectation that, with Symantec, I would always get what I paid for. However, for the first time in my adult life I am considering checking out the competition, all because Symantec cannot simply pull its head out of its [Removed] and fix basic problems when have been reported now for a decade:

1. Multiple copies of the Norton Icon in the system tray - The excuse that I always here is that it is just a cosmetic issue. Ok question, WHY THE HELL AM I PAYING FOR SOFTWARE WHOSE MAKERS CANNOT RESOLVE A SIMPLE COSMETIC PROBLEM?

2. LiveUpdate is stuck on "Finishing Processing" for over an hour. - We still have yet to hear a coherent answer on this issue, much less a fix.

 

Symantec, I am going to make this simple for you; [Removed]FIX THESE ISSUES OR I AM DONE PAYING FOR YOUR SOFTWARE!

Both of the issues you present are not widespread, I have not seen either. And they are usually easily resolved by LiveUpdates, reinstalling the product, and sometimes by disabling Windows Fast Startup feature.
