Nach dem letzten Update Version 240419 vor einigen Tagen ist sowohl auf meinem Tablet (Samsung Tab A) als auch auf meinem Smartphone (Samsung A41) keine Einrichtung des Heimnetzwerkes mehr möglich, ohne dass ich N360 meinen ständigen (!) Standort erlaube. Selbst die Option: Nur bei Benutzung der App, wie im App Store beschrieben, blockiert mein WiFi. Fehlermeldung: Verbunden mit unbekanntem Netzwerk. Was ist da los?

Today (05/26/24) a new Norton 360 update came!
From the looks of it everything seems to be back to normal.
Norton now finds my network on my smartphone and tablet again.
I hope everything works again for you.
Everything has been fine for me since today too. Thanks to the community for their efforts and to N360 for recognizing that users of this app should not be monitored unnecessarily.

heute (26.05.24) kam ein neues Norton 360 Update!
So wie es aussieht scheint alles wieder beim alten zu sein.
Norton findet jetzt wieder mein Netzwerk auf Smartphone und Tablet.
Ich hoffe bei Dir funktioniert auch wieder alles.

Denau so sieht es auch bei mir aus. Und bis jetzt kam Seitens Norton kein neues Update.

Hello peterweb, if I allow the location all the time, the app is happy and my home network is recognized and is reported as protected. But I don't want the app to have constant access to my location. This has never been necessary before and does not make sense because, among other data security reasons, the smartphone's battery is put under unnecessary strain.
Thanks for the added information. I'll forward this thread to my Norton contacts to report that just allowing location while using the app does not function correctly.
It would help if you could send logs to Norton to help with the diagnosis. Open the 360 app and tap the three bars at the top left. Tap on Settings > General, and scroll down to the Logging section. Turn on Enable Debug Log. Then continue using your device until your issue happens again. After the issue has happened, go back to the Debug Log settings and then tap on Send Error Report with log files. In your submission please include "forum 'your username' " in the Case ID section of the report. Also include a link to this thread. You can turn off logging when you have sent the logs.
If you do send logs, please let me know and I'll notify my contacts to look for them.

Hallo peterweb, wenn ich den Standort ständig zulasse, ist die App zufrieden und mein Heimnetzwerk wird erkannt und ist als geschützt gemeldet. Ich will aber nicht, das die App ständig auf meinen Standort zugreifen kann. Das war bisher noch nie notwendig und ist auch nicht sinnvoll, weil unter anderen Datensicherheitsgründen auch der Akku des Smartphones unnötig belastet wird.

After the last update version 240419 a few days ago, it is no longer possible to set up the home network on both my tablet (Samsung Tab A) and my smartphone (Samsung A41) without allowing N360 to use my permanent (!) location. Even the option: Only when using the app, as described in the App Store, my WiFi blocks. Error message: Connected to unknown network. What's going on there?
Did you try allowing location full time to see if you can connect? You can always change that back in Android settings.
Haben Sie versucht, den Standort ständig zuzulassen, um zu sehen, ob Sie eine Verbindung herstellen können? Sie können dies jederzeit in den Android-Einstellungen wieder ändern.
