Keine Benachrichtugung mehr

Norton 360 for Windows

Seit dem update auf Version 22.24.7.8 erhalte ich beim Download einer .exe Datei keine Benachrichtigung ob die Datei “sauber” oder “gefährlich” ist angezeigt.
Früher erschien rechts unten immer eine Meldung: Norton hat Datei “xy” gescannt mit dem Scanresultat.
Jetzt nicht mehr und das ist sehr störend, da ich jetzt nicht weiß ob die runter gelandene Datei gescannt wurde und mit welchem Resultat.
Vielleicht kann ja jemand helfen.

Ich kann das nur indirekt bestätigen. Denn auch bei einem Update eines Programmes kam bisher diese Benachrichtigung. Jetzt kommt sie auch da nicht mehr. Habe es gerade ausprobiert.

Nicht wirklich befriedigend, warum wird etwas nützliches und informatives entfernt ???

Sorry, no idea. Maybe, Norton does not know. I don’t know if “useful/informative removed” is glitch or by design.

Ja, genau so eine Meldung kam immer unten rechts nach einem Download einer EXE Datei, die angezeigt hat, dass mit der Datei alles in Ordnung ist oder ob etwas nicht stimmt und man eingreifen muss (kam bei sehr neuen Dateine ab und an mal vor).
Hat aber nichts mit Firefox zu tun, da mit Chrome auch keine Meldung kommt.

Norton support over on Xtwitter seems to understand our issue…but, was unable to translate/read your messages. So, I translated and shared (summary) our messages. Norton support promised to pass along our feedback.

Norton support via Chat was not so accommodating. Norton Chat wants remote access to see as we’re reporting. Otherwise, support cannot escalate. I’ve been told - no see - no escalate…many times.
Sorry, I don’t want Norton rooting around my machine.
Norton needs an active public beta channel.

Ich habe schon geschrieben, daß diese Meldung auch erschienen ist, wenn man eine neue Version eines Programmes installierte. Wie in diesen Beispiel beim Firefox.

Download Insight (what used to be known as) does not report for safe with my N360 v24.8.x

N360 v24.8.x does not offer Download Insight Notifications nor Show Report on Launch of Files settings.
N360 v24.8.x offers Download Intelligence toggle switch.

Note: download event is not reported with Security History > Download Intelligence

Norton v24.8.x broke Download Intelligence or Norton 24.8.x is deliberately dumbed down.

Scan & File Insight are still available from rt click menu along with new Run in sandbox.

N360 v24.8.x is silent with Launch of File (safe).

File Insight > Copy to Clipboard report is dumbed down, too…there’s no File Thumbprint

Edit: I’ll need to test N360 v24.8.x Auto-Protect > Choose file types to scan > Recommended vs All files

All Files does not appear to change Download Intelligence behavior.
6 downloads from ccleaner.com and malwarebytes.com = Security History > Download Intelligence reports No events found.

Edit: I need to test known unsafe
N360 v24.8.x Browser Protection blocks connection to the download executable URL = Threat aborted

N360 v24.8.x - Download Intelligence description = Detects and analyzes suspicious files when you attempt to run or download them from the internet.
