Currently I have a "nasty" machine. Infected with La Superba trojan (virus), whatever. I have used Norton, CCleaner, Ad-aware, AdwCleaner, probably a couple others....nothing seems to be able to clear or clean it off. I'm running Windows 10 Home, with Internet Explorer, not Edge. Edge still needs a few features IE had. Anyway, its a I5-2450M, 6gb ram, Gateway NV77H23u laptop. Maybe-2-3 years old 17" red laptop. I like it. 750gb hdd.
Anyway, I can't seem to find a way to remove this "La Superba" bug from it.
I have tried booting into safe mode, using task manager, running all the top security programs, it won't budge. I've spent 4 days, useless waste of time. I can't
believe there's no way to get this off my laptop.
At this time the laptop fully functions, will easily connect to the internet, and shows the bug easily. My next solution is to replace the harddrive. Computer is currently isolated from other computers in my household like a sick child.
This is not your simple Trojan but disguises itself as a legit shopping site, but is extracting way more from the computers it infects. And it covers a good 25%+ of whatever screen you looking at. Then when you open up another screen tab in IE, it begins redirecting you to other sites, computer fix chats, etc...
I need help beyond what I finding in forums, software, etc., on the internet, or I will just rebuild it. I was a tech in my other life, and have already bought another harddrive to replace and build it from scratch using Windows 7. This "bug" has rendered my Windows 10 system useless/untrustworthy.
I need a solution to this one. Norton has taken care of all my other infections and intrusions for many years, but not this one.
I have been a loyal customer since the 1990s, and just getting too old for this stuff anymore.
Sincerely,
Kimberly K. Martin
