I was checking through my Securuity History, and noticed that there have been a high number of attempted inbound TCP connections to a variety of unused ports. (Sample below)
Category: Firewall - Activities Date & Time,Risk,Activity,Status,Recommended Action,Category 12/26/2011 10:57 AM,Info,"Unused port blocking has blocked communications. Inbound TCP connection from 222.186.25.148, local service Port (9415) .",Detected,No Action Required,Firewall - Activities
Checking the IP addresses involved, they seem to originate primarily in China, with a few coming out of Europe.
I understand that these log entries are showing that Norton is doing its job (kudos!), but how do I know that there aren't successful attempts on ports in use? Is there a way to see or log port activity?
