Thank you for your efforts.
I have no idea why Norton overcharged me. They just took a payment greater than they were authorised to do. Luckily I had a copy of the original order - with the correct amount - so my bank got the overpayment back. I gave Norton the benefit of the doubt and put it down to an error. That was a mistake!
As for the other matter. It was 5 months into my cover that Norton said there were cancelling it. Norton decided this all on their own. The first I knew of it is was when it popped up on my account saying that my subscription was being cancelled and that I would receive a refund. True to their word, my cover was cancelled. However, I didn't receive any refund and I'm therefore 'out of pocket' also.
I appreciate your help in trying to resolve this matter. It's just crazy that Norton can operate like this.

I'm curious what explanation Norton gave for stopping your Norton product from working.
Does "cancel my subscription cover" mean your Norton product stopped working?
1) Maybe, Norton stopped/cancelled the automatically renewal service associated with your Norton product?
2) Maybe, Norton stopped your Norton product from working?

I'm trying to understand what "nothing happens!" means.
I'm trying to understand "there was nobody at Norton I could contact about this".
1) We hear reports that users are not able to reach Norton Official Support.
We hear users are not able to navigate Chat Bot.
We hear users call support...but, no answer.
We hear users are promised support call back...but, no call back ever happens.
We hear lots of reports regarding Norton support.
2) By my reading: You were able to reach Norton support...but, promised refund never happened.

I do not recall hearing Norton revoked/terminated an active subscription (Norton stopped product from working).

1) You were unable to reach Chat/Phone support agent.
2) You were able to reach Chat/Phone support agent.
But, were unable to make a satisfactory resolution?...because, Support refused your refund request?

i can name a list of companys who have "bad and worst" customer service, thats with issue or questions i had which were basic or very simple or should of been.
