I just learned by accident (no email like others received) that LifeLock is going to be part of Norton. It's not clear what that means. Is LifeLock's services going to be under Norton, but a separate product similar to LifeLock or is there a package deal of Norton Security that includes LifeLock's features. I have been a monthly subscriber to LifeLock for several years and currently a subscriber to Norton Security with Backup.
I have been using Symantec/Norton products for a long time and it seems every year instead of renewing my subscription I have to buy a new program because they're always changing the name. I wish they would knock that off.
My Norton Security expires in May 2017 and as I mentioned my LifeLock is paid monthly. I noticed there's a new Norton program that seems to be the new LifeLock, but it isn't clear if it includes Norton Security software. I don't know if I should be cancelling my LifeLock and subscribing to this "special deal" that I don't find very special especially with all of the bad press LifeLock has gotten recently. I was actually considering getting rid of LifeLock unless Norton thinks they can do a better job.
My question is whether I should be buying the Norton Security protection instead. Obviously if I do it now I'm going to lose six months of my current Norton Security. Norton needs to be more clear about this otherwise maybe it's time to get rid of both of them. There should also be a better deal for those who currently own a license to Norton Security and subscribe to LifeLock. Right now I don't see one.
