Live Update is not working

The Live Update feature on my Norton 360 (version 5) does not work. When I click "Run LiveUpdate," invariably I get the message "Unable to connect to the Norton Liveupdate server. Please check your Internet connection, while there is no problem with my Net connection at all. When I clicked on the 'More Info' link on the pane, I got the message "An error has occurred with Norton 360: Error 8921,253". I did everything that I was asked to do following the instructions on the pages provided by Nathan, but to no avail. Please help.

Did you try the instructions from the following Symantec KB?

Try this----->

 

Open Norton-->Settings-->Administrative Settings---> Network Proxy-->Uncheck all boxes-->Apply-->OK.

Dazza, I’m sorry, I’m a bit apprehensive about downloading the Malwarebytes Antimalware you have mentioned.

i to have this problem with live updates telling me i have error 8921,253 am mug at this can some one help me

Did you try the steps in the support article that Yogesh posted?

Make sure that you do not have any Parental Control or security products like Microsoft Security Essentials.
