Sorry to hear about that Grumpster. While I don't speak dutch, these two links might be a good starting point to resolve your issue.

Hope these are of some use!
done all the above. Downloading and installing live update result: it says I got other version installed and stops. Lu all gives a lu1812 error. Sofar no further progress. any other options?
here's the story sofar:
uninstalled live update and reinstalled : no change
uninstalled N360v2 and used Norton removal tool thereafter; reinstalled N360 v2 ; no change (all with necessary reboots etc etc)
However in the meantime I noticed that the offered update (guess its the one to 2.3.09) thru live update is an english one (it explicitely says english between brackets behind the update in luall) which might be the reason it wont install cause I have a dutch one.
Obviously its nothing at my end. Now how will this be solved?
Late Note: The auto chat possibility now says I got my version from my ISP which is incorrect, wonder where that came from after the complete clean install. Well take the latter as info, cant use it anyway due to my dutch version.
I too have they same problem. I have run all the so-called fixes and reinstalled several times. Live Update is unable to install the program update. All other updates install OK (as far as I know).
My laptop, running XP, also has developed the "AT Risk" problem when shown on the Network Connection.

Hello Grumpster,
We believe that we have isolated the problem and are awaiting word that the patch has been reposted. Stay tuned to this thread for an update.
With respect to your last note, can you elaborate on this situation? What exactly are you seeing that indicates that you are using a version obtained from your ISP?
Thanks,
Matt
Hi Matt,
Thanks for the info. When there is an error reported it is programmed (built in) that a connection is made with an on-line chat Symantec "analyst" . I have a dutch version of 360 v2. After reinstalling as mentioned in this thread (I hope) and the 1806 error occurred I clicked the buttons to get the chat, however it came with the info my version not supported by the chat thing since its provided by my ISP.
Two things on that:
1) It worked earlier and I got connected to analysts whom cant do anything cause my OS in dutch also ( so I guess I should have been connected to someone knowing dutch systems or have no chat possibility at all)
2) I dont understand why I get the above message that I got my version from my ISP which is incorrect. I did a clean (re) install under vista sp1 (also used removal tool before re install). When ya want I can make a screenshot when Im in Vista again.
For me personally the issue is not that important however it might be for your developers and / or quality people
Pls let me know whether this enlightened ya a bit
Note:
I can no longer reproduce the situation and everything looks ok now. Consider this ISP thing as solved. Thx a lot
Thanks for the update, Grumpster.
Matt
Expecting everything sorted now and also based on info in other thread re expected update for Norton Toolbar in Firefox 3. I again did the luall update thing under Vista SP 1 (dutch) . The Norton Program update is offered and is not installed with a LU1812 error. So I cant get the update to version 2.3.09 again. Earlier in this thread I already described that I completely reinstalled also using the NAV removal tool. I noticed (again) that the update is offered in English (explicitely stated between brackets) which might be the reason that it does not install since I have a dutch version N360 v2 and OS . I also wrote that earlier.
Is there a way to get a link to get the correct dutch update? This now going on for some time and still the same result.
Pls advise
In the meantime I also tried piupdate.exe as linked in another thread but that did not solve the issue. Im getting all updates in and they install fine except the program update (still offered in english see above)
Have you already tried the download from the Upgrade Center?
Please let me know how this helps. Thanks!
Hi Tony,
Just did that and strangely enough in the drop down list N 360 version 2 is not available . In LU I always get the english version offered which does not install. In the above link there is no 360 version 2. Does that (dutch) update for Vista exist yet ? Starting to doubt that. Somewhere is something wrong and its not here.
P ls enlighten me :-)
Hi Grumpster,
The patch has not released yet. We'll update the thread here when we get word.
Thanks,
Matt
Hi Matt,
Thanks for the info. I can live with that :-) But two things on that:
1) I came up with this question a month ago and nobody told me it was not released, whilst I think I been clear enough.
2) Lu should not offer me the english version of the update which I think is very confusing.
Guess I am in the waiting room again
Although the patch is not yet released LU keeps offering me the english version which will nott install,, also ref to all the above. However now my mainscreen indicates (and keeps indicating) I need to update and Im at risk. It's still downloading and updating the definitions etc.
This now becomes rather frustating, I could live with it since it was not indicating I needed to update and therefore also not showing Im at risk.

The at risk indication does not show any longer (after some LU received updates) however the english version of the prgram update is still offered thru LU and consequently I cant update under VIsta. Is there anplanned date that the update will be there. Talking about Vista Sp1 dutch update N360 v2 to 2.3.0.9 and /or 2.3.1.4 here
As far as I know, the N360 2.3.0.9 patch is out there. Although it might say English if you’re running luall.exe, it actually targets all the languages. That’s the reason you are “seeing” the patch. What kind of error are you encountering when you try to install it? Is it 1812 or something else? What happens if you run LiveUpdate from the NIS UI?

My error is still the same as described under message 10 in this thread. In message 14 Matt Philpips informs me that the subsequent patch has not been released. Following the link by Tony Weiss in message 12 there is not even a 360 version 2 under that (dutch) link.
To be absolutely sure I again repeat again uninstalled N360 V2 with Norton removal tool and reinstalled N360 v2 ; all under dutch vista with Sp1.
Lu still giving me the lu1812 error for the program update and Im still on 2.2.02. No need to say I followed every link given and executed the piupdate.exe etc but still the same. When I run from the 360 UI (not NIS as you stated) I get the info that an update belonging to the program could not install.
Now whats going on? This way Im getting confusing info
Hello Grumpster,
I'm sorry I can't help you with your problem, but I wonder... do you mean, that you can't get help from Symantec analysts in dutch?
If it is so, that's odd, because I'm from Finland and my N360 is in finnish (as my Vista aswell) and I can get help
in my language (have had a few times). As you might know Finland is a small country (in population) and we have a rare language.
