Yes I did try closing down and shutting down. I've also been through several solutions that involve stopping the live update processes, stopping them and restarting and a tool that does the same thing.

I could have sworn that I already replied to this, but never mind. There are several live threads on the same topic. Might I suggest that you follow one of the other threads, and do everything proposed in order. You can post back here, what you tried and the results.

I have version 2.2.0.2 on am XP machine connected to a wireless network. I installed this a couple of months ago and it was working fine. This isn’t our main computer, so I had it powered down for a few weeks. When I started it back up Live Update ran…and never stopped. I initially had the “Live Update is already running” error. I have fixed that issue, but I still can’t get the update to finish completely. I’m on my 4th e-mail with support and now have 5 different ways to stop Live Update from running old sessions. Most recently Live Update ran for 24 hours and never completed. I have DSL, so this isn’t a download speed issue. Any thoughts? I’m not hopeful that I’m going to get anywhere with support.
Have you tried closing down Live Update, then restarting your PC, then trying Live Update again?
