I am on a slooow dialup connection,which is probably my main problem. When I try to update my laptop,(which hasn't been online for a few days) it checks for updates, starts downloading updates, but after a short time, it says "finished, not all updates installed " , or something to that effect. I think it's probably a time out problem. The updates are usually 40 or 50 MB, which on my connection will take four to five hours !, IF everything goes well! I usually set it up to run at night, but if I don't get up and restart it 3 or 4 times during the night, it only downloads 20 or 25 MB, so it takes 2 or 3 nights to get up to date. Is there a "workaround" for this situation?(other than a faster connection, which is not an option) Surely, not everyone has a high speed connection. Any help is greatly appreciated.
