A quick trip for a pint sounds like a great idea!
But in all seriousness I think the mission you set me really made me think that I’m worrying too much about Norton and has allowed me to trust it more so I want to thank you for that! I’m not going to be running manual liveupdates for a while. The next time I will run it manually will be when I run a full system scan.
Would you say now everything is fine and I do not need to post back here tonight of the information I have gathered while on my computer?

I would suggest you give up on Auto LU and perform only manual.

Apostolos I would do that but I may forget to do it so that’s the reason I’m not going to do that but thank you anyway!
And yank I’m just wondering is it normal for me to be be getting the same updates each time a automatic update happens for example each automatic update has had 8 updates and they’re all the same I believe. Is this because the time I turn on my computer there are new defintions of the same 8 that are downloaded?

Hi,

 

Since you are monitoring the LU events maybe 50 + times a day, I seriously doubt that you will forget.... to run manual ones. :-)

Also being a creature of habit, I shut down every night around 7 PM and fire it up the next morning around 8 AM - I have gone back thru the ast week and I seem to be gettiong 8 updates the first time LU is run in the AM after booting up.  There are a few times I get fewer in the last couple of weeks, but I have also been on the system much laterthe night before and have rceived addtional LU's opn those nights - which wold cut the numebr down waiting on me in the AM.

That is very true I’m not going to lie! But if I’m honest I don’t like looking at Norton history a lot and want to stop looking at it and just let Norton do it’s thing so to speak! I might get back into the habit of running LU soon start up but I seem to have shaken that because I haven’t done it in a few days.

Thanks for that that’s giving me some reasuurence!
I’m just about to come off my computer now it’s 10:55PM over her may change when I post this but anyway I looked in the history because I’m turning off for the night and I only have the 8 updates that were automaticly done at 6:12PM is this normal to go that long with out updates? The last time the Norton tasks were run was 6:11 I’m sure this nothing bad but was just wondering about it!

I wish I was a owner of one! They’re just my favourite car! And I’m going to be honest I’m jealous of you owning a S3 250PS 10 years ago! And I can imagine it being more interesting then Norton!
