Just ran live update like I do every week on Sundays on my comps but when it ran it completed super fast which isn't normal. It finished and everything look good so I press okay and the next box says protection updates not fixed and this happened on all 4 comps I own is it just a server problem atm for updates cuz Iran the updated and it still says you haven't ran live update in 6 days . I tried to update at 9 pm post I will try againtomarrow to hope it's fixed
It's happening to me, too. When it's happened before, if I wait a couple hours and try again, it usually works then. It's likely some kind of server problem that gets fixed, or a different server, on a re-try later. Perhaps a server is down, or some system maintenance, etc.
Live update does not install all updates. I have restarted the computer but it does the same thing. Any suggestions
Definite problem at Norton's end. NIS 2012 Live Update will not complete on both my XP PC and my wife's Win7 laptop. Tried manually several times now. Please sort it out .
I have the same problem. My win 7 home premium PC doesn't complete the live update and autorepair didn't fix anything

The problem is fixed here in Texas now.
As of 4pm Live Update still Fails to Complete.
I was having problems too about 24hrs ago but now Live Update is working for me too.

It sounds like you are talking about when liveupdate fails to download updates. This is usually due to server issues. This happens occasionally and you have to just wait it out.

These are temporary and fixed soon.
Additionally, you might try and run Norton Autofix to see if it finds anything wrong with your installation ... Support / Get Support upper right of your product.

I did live update manually and t said a new patch is on
when I applied it update the Norton 2013 BUT it never show on the system after reboot
windows said it not protected , I am not able to rerun it ,
needed to unintasll it and reinstall Norton !!
and now again the patch arrive ,
