Live updates just keeps installing

Hi, usually when I press run live update after a couple of updates it say updates not required, but today on both my computers it just keeps installing a new live update. It never says updates not required like it did yersterday and for as long as I can remember. Can anyone offer me any help with this, thankyou for your time.

Make sure you are using latest version 18.5? You will find version on about and then credit on user interface,. How much time you run live update manually?

The version showing is 18.5.0.125. I have tried updating now many times, maybe 40 - 50 times.

Its look like very rare problem.I would suggest to install 2011 build again…save your key to safe place

download nis 2011 here and save it to your hard disk

www.norton.com/nis11

uninstall nis 2011 from control panel then run nis 2011 installer after that activate though your existing license

run live update rapidly until no update are available. And check still update are going rapidly or not need anymore

And uninstall completely. Dont click on “i plan to reinstall”

Hi adam74p,

 

If you are getting the Norton 2011 Iron Revocation list update over and over, it is NOT a problem with your installation so please don't reinstall.

 

There appears to be a problem on the Symantec side (probably with one of their servers) which is causing this particular update to keep getting downloaded.

Thanks Allen, Yes after looking at the summary it is the iron revocation list issue I am having as well. Apologies, I did not see the other thread regarding this subject. I will keep an eye on the thread you directed me to and leave this thread. Thankyou heavengod for the time you took to help me.
