I started having a problem last week. My Norton Internet Security could not connect to the Symantec server to run the LiveUpdate. I came to the website and updated to the 2010 version. I then found, here in the forum, where I could update the virus defs manually. I have done some of the things that the help suggests but no luck. Help! Thank you!!!

Thank you for the reply! I’ve been really sick and haven’t been able to get back to let you know how it went. I tried both things and I still get the same message about updating. I updated again today manually. Anything else I can try? I’m not really computer savvy when it comes to fixing things, so the help is much appreciated!!

Can u check whether ur net requires any http proxies, if yes go to misc settings in norton and configure it and put ur proxy and port in it.
