LiveUpdate not connecting

Liveupdate is taking a long time to connect to the server (not connection).  It was working a few minutes ago.  Can you please check?

After five minutes sitting on the screen trying to connect, two updates came in: Pulse Updates and Activity Map Data.

It might the temporary issue with LU Servers.

Request you to try sometime later.

Same here going on 35 minutes without Live Update working or any pulse updares...........Gorpy1

LU servers up and working fine now.

Please try running LU now.

Sorry Liveupdate still isn't working for me in the UK

I just got a Live update of a pulse update (It still is somewhat slower than ususal) but "Thank you" Norton.......Gorpy1

It just ran so back and working (very slow though)

In my case the culprit seems to be 77.109.168.43

Still no dice, just sits there and tries to connect.

Still slow (25 sec when manually running the task in Norton task) but updates are comming through.

Another one came in. Manually running LU takes forever to connect, but eventually seems to do so.

I always run manually. It is taking forever.

 

Someone contact engineering and tell them we need more power! :smileytongue:

The server looks like its going up and down and up and down.  When its fixed, its fixed.  Since I can be bothered to check back here every few hours, I'm going to mark this thread as solved.

Pulse updates are coming through, but LU still seems to take forever I sometimes quit after a few minutes.......Thanks, Gorpy1

At the time that I post that, LiveUpdate in Nis 2011 seems slower than usual to connect to symantec servers but fast when downloading updates.

This has happened ever since I installed the product (going on 2 years now!) and each time I contact the support, and they remotely mess about with it,  it appears to run then the next time its required and I try it doesn't?

I know there must be some issue with my PC settings or some such, but I'm not a boffin on these matters so wouldn't know where to begin.
