Welcome to our community! I wish it could have been under better circumstances...but, well, it rarely is. LOL
Unfortunately, I don't think there will be anything Norton can do to assist in your recovery. There is a brand new plugin (still in Beta) called Norton Anti-theft, which sounds like it would be just the ticket...but it doesn't sound like you had that installed. It's basically a crossover from Norton's emerging suite of Mobile products (for smartphones & tablets), as those devices are both much more "stealable" and will generally have an always-on connection to the Internet and/or 3G network to tattle on the thief and his location.
Without that, though, I can't think of anything in Norton 360 that would help you...although you're welcome to contact the helpful (and responsive) folks of Norton's Live Chat customer support staff, to see if there might be something they could do by virtue of the information they have about your subscription and each installation in Symantec's database
Do contact Customer Support via the OnLine CHAT service as suggested.
The very least they can do is to cancel the activation of N 360 so it stops working and makes the activation available for you to use again. I don't think they can do more with the technology available on your machine but as indicated there is new mobile protection availble ....
One other thing you can do apart from notifying the police and your insurance company (<s>) is to contact the laptop manufacturer since some of them will record the serial number as a stolen device and if it comes in for servicing it will be flagged as such. I know Toshiba do this but I don't know about other companies.
BTW -- I always make a photocopy of the bottom of any laptop we have and file it away since that gives all the manufacturer's identity codes.
Dell will also work with registered owneres who report their computers stolen. They do insist that any information they are able to obtain will only be given to a law enforcement agency.
