I have a laptop that has a hijacker/virus program called loadstart, I have been able to find some information about it on some antivirus sites but I cannot even find the word mentioned in all of Nortons forums, it was likely D/L'd with some freeware, it has taken over IE's homepage and search engine, it is either masquerading or invisible because no setting makes it visible in the normal places (I've tried all the normal "view" settings: show protected et al) and not even Norton PE can detect it, any attempt to get actual support from Norton is an exercise in futility, I did get a phone call from somewhere in India 3 days after I requested help, at 17:25 while on my way home from work, left a message I was unable to understand more than 4 words from but I am pretty sure He said Norton once or twice so nothing there so I thought I'd try here before doing a factory reset on the laptop, Has anyone heard of this hijacker? can anyone give me a clue how to make it visible so it can be removed? if anyone from Norton actually reads this: is there any fix coming soon?
