My husband loaded his new Norton Antivirus on his mobile phone and tested it via his computer to see if it worked. It did work, the phone locked. However, when he input his security number the phone wouldn't unlock. He had to wait 5 minutes before he could try again, then 10 then 30 and 60. Still no unlock. We've contacted customer helpline and were on for over 7 hours (intermittent), they've been unable to help him, and stopped answering his queries. We are going to try to contact them again. His phone has now been locked for about 18 hours. It's logged on, it screams when activated from the computer, but we can't do anything else. Can anybody offer any solution ?
On the Norton Account web site where you locked the phone, there is an option just below the Lock option to Remove Screen Lock. That should unlock the phone. Note that if you had set up a PIN access on the phone, you will have to reset that.

Are you using the passcode which was shown when setting up phone lock?
If you go to https://my.norton.com/ it should show your phone, click on it & it'll show you your unlock code.
