Looking for pop up ad blocker for Google Chrome

 

Never had ads before downloading Norton - wondering where I look to block pop ups?

I don't think that your Norton program infected your copy of chrome with ads. Have you checked your configuration of chrome to be sure that their pop up blocker is working? Have you run any scans to be sure you haven't picked up an infection of some type? There are a number of free on demand scanners like

http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

and

http://superantispyware.com/

which will compliment your Norton scans and improve your chances of keeping your system clean.

No security program can protect you 100% of the time from 100% of the threats that are being released by the thousands daily. That's just one of those sad facts of life when connected to the Internet.

Welcome to the Norton forum:

 

I've used the Adblock Plus extension with my Firefox browser for a few years, and they now have a version for Chrome.  I use the default EasyList filter list (see the Getting Started FAQ here) and find it provides a reasonable level of protection.  Here are a few links if you'd like some more info:
