I "lost" my visual VM app when I upgraded from Galaxy S8+ to S23 Ultra in June. The app was simple -- I could type notes, and I could also save important VMs. (Looked at other apps, but I'm not interested in voice-to-text etc -- I really found the "editing" feature to be most helpful.) I found the app on 'apkmirror' but I get message that it may be harmful if DL'd. Any suggestions would be helpful. I miss this app!
Purchasing any Android apps from any other source than the Google Play Store app can be dangerous as you do not have the protection of Google's vetting/scanning the apps against malware. Thus the warning you get when trying to download it. In addition, to install those apps from the apk sites, you have to disable one of your device's security measures by allowing installation of apps from unknown sources.
Personally, I would never use one of those sites. There are other visual VM apps on Google Play. Maybe you can find one that is supported by your cell carrier. Or contact their support department to see what app they can recommend.
How or why did you lose your older app? If this is the app you are referring to, it appears that if you did not change cell carrier, you should be able to activate the app on you new devices.
