Lost Norton Toolbar after Installation of Firefox 4.0

My Norton Toolbar, especially My Identity Safe, disappeared after installing Firefox 4.0. Any suggestions?

The current Norton Toolbar is not currently compatible with FF4. Please check out the following post by Tony Weiss.

A nice bland statement. Pity that there is or doesn't seem to be much dialogue between the two parties. My question is when can I get the identity safe toolbar and autofill back and running. This bit of Norton works for me, I use it (or used to use it) all the time and it is a real timewaster having to now look up and fill in logons and passwords.

When it does finally get a fix, how does one go about restoring the toolbar to its previous glory.

FWIW - I am running FF 3.6.16 with NIS 2011 on a Win 7 64 bit system and Identity Safe works fine.  If having Identity Safe outweighs using FF4, I'd sugest you go back to FF 3.6.16. 

 

I plan on waiting until the fixes are all complete in FF4, IE9 and the Norton toolbar is compatable before upgrading!

 It would have been nice if I had known the Norton tool bar wasn't compatible  before I updated & went crazy trying to find the Norton tool bar for the last 2 days! Thank you for this information.

Thank you. Unfortunatly , I am with the Comcast- Norton security, so it sounds like I will have to wait a little longer before I can get my Norton toolbar back. Am really missing the autofill ins! How easy it is to become lazy! lol

I would then suggest that you keep checking in their Forum also. The fix might show up in that Forum as well as here. Thanks

Wouldn't it be better then to go back to FF 3.6.16. where they do work.
