Lost product key...please help

I downloaded Norton back in Jan. I paid $89 for whatever version I bought. My computer crashed and I lost some of my documents. I lost the one that gave me my product key or the email that confirmed that I had it. I need to download it again but have no documentation from where I paid for it.

If you can remember some of the details (credit card, email account name and address, etc. ) you can contact Customer Service HERE and they can help you out.  The Chat connection is very fast (so others have said here) and you should be fixed up soon.

Hi Tammy,

If you already had Norton program in your computer, then you might have registered(saved) your Product key in your Norton Account. Log into your Norton Account using this LINK and get your Product key from there for reinstallation. Also, make a note of the exact name/version of the product. You can download the trialware of the same Norton product from this Symantec Web Page and then activate it using the product key from your Norton Account. Let us know how it goes.

Definitely the first thing to try.

Hi Tammyl -

Look in My Documents for a "Symantec" folder and see if there is a text file inside which contains your product key.

If you can't find it, then please follow the above steps.

Good luck. :smileyhappy:

Compumind, there is nothing wrong with your advice. It's also stored in the registry if you know where to look for it.

But there is more than one reason to follow the original advice.  Tammy will still need to access her account to synch it with her software after it is installed.  She will still need to know her log in and her password.  Since she will need that, why not just go and get it, and her exact Activation Code at the same time she is there?
