OK, Since the last upgrade Norton has started to show notifications in the lower right corner of the screen telling me that it has performed a function or blocked something. It is very annoying to have this happed every time I am trying to get some work done on the computer.
I was told by a technician that I needed to go to the silence function and check the day selection and and that will stop the notifications for the day. I have to do this each time I start the computer. Now I can't get to the setup selection to go to silent and select day. When I click on the setup it just sits there.
This is Norton 360 with L:ifelock, Operating system Windows 10. Any suggestions???
Hello Lou1. Here is how to enable "silent mode" in Norton settings. To set the length of time for silent mode open the main UI, look at the top right and find Settings. Click it. On the right you will find a check box for Silent Mode. Check it and the popup will appear to set the length of time. Unfortunately there isn't a way to set this to permanent in the current products.
You can also disable the setting shown below which will disable Norton tasks from generating taskbar notifications. Please let us know if this takes care of things for you.
